She won’t trad places with anyone.
A woman who quit her gig to become a traditional, or “tradist” woman, says her husband pays her about $100 a week to cook and clean for him. She’s even hit back at feminists who have accused her of just wanting a sugar daddy, claiming they’d be happier if they followed suit.
“My husband hires me to take care of the house,” Alyssa “Ally” Dee, 28, told the news channel Truly. “It’s the best job I’ve ever had.”
“I encourage other women to follow the same dynamic for their future financial success,” urged the housewife, who regularly documents her wifely style to over 182,000 YouTube subscribers.
The housewife met her husband Tom, 51, when they were both in the army and began dating while she worked and studied.
Little did the independent girl know at the time that she would put her career aspirations on the back burner in favor of a more domestic lifestyle.
After they got engaged, Dee couldn’t help but feel that her beau wanted “a little more attention for the house, for the house and also for herself.”
“I had a sneaking suspicion that it might benefit our relationship if I stayed at home,” said the bubbly house wife, who has now been with Tom for two-and-a-half years and is pregnant with their first child.
So she came up with the idea of moving from trade to trade.
Her other half was initially hesitant about Dee taking on a more domestic role, saying: “I honestly thought I wanted a triathlete physio, that was my mindset.”
Despite his reservations, Tom decided to give this 1950s style romance a go.
Under the deal, the professional housewife is paid about $100 a week so she can treat herself to “snacks and coffee” along with the occasional shopping excursion, the Daily Mail reported. For reference, that equates to about one-third of the federally mandated minimum wage.
“We got rid of all her credit cards and opened new credit cards under my account so now I can see all her purchases,” Tom explained. “She really doesn’t ask for a lot of things she doesn’t need, she’s quite disciplined financially.”
Tom was over the moon about the traditional arrangement, which he felt allowed him to lead a more stress-free and focused life.
“Until I got into a relationship with Ally, I didn’t even know how wonderful it was to have a traditional gender-separated relationship,” he said. “I provide a home, protection and provision. What I ask in return is support and a clean house so I can go out into the world and focus on the outside world.”
Quitting her job has also proved a boon for Dee, who described: “I make more now, married, than I did when I was in the army and it’s the best job I’ve ever had.”
“I would probably be considered on his list, he pays for my living and has a health insurance plan,” added the trad woman, who said this remote employment opportunity is far superior to a regular nine-to-five gig .
“The alternative is to go to an actual job with a real boss,” she said. “Be aware that it is a man who does not care for you.”
Dee added, “He would fire you tomorrow, my husband won’t fire me tomorrow.”
Her career 180 has put her in the firing line of feminists, who have called her lazy and accused her of being a garden variety “gold digger” in the guise of a more “respectable” pursuit.
“There are feminists on Reddit who hate me, most of whom are single, over 30,” she explained. “I’m just of the opinion that feminism was completely unnecessary and that it’s a movement of female supremacy.”
As for the gold digger allegations, Tom stated, “‘She asked for $100 a week, what kind of gold digger wants that?’
Luckily, Dee claims she also gets a lot of “positive feedback from women who feel like they’ve finally been seen.”
The trad woman insisted that she ultimately wants “women to know that they have other options out there.”
“I think most modern relationships are not happy, men act like women, women act like men and when they come together they have a really unbalanced dynamic,” she said.
Other traditional wives, meanwhile, consider their lifestyle a welcome break from the “woke” ideology they claim has taken over Western society.
“I think a lot of women are looking for that lifestyle,” California homemaker Gretchen Adler, 38, told The Post in September. “They want to get their houses. They want to get out of the fast-paced lifestyle of the work environment, the little boss mentality and just want to be at home.”
